Find patterns from the web, magazines or other sources and see how others have personalized their own variations (many are available free). Add yourself as a designer and list your own patterns for free or for sale. Find groups that match your interest. This is my favorite online knitting/crochet site.
- Crochet Me: an online crochet community from Interweave. They have an excellent newsletter with tips, tricks and ideas.
- Youtube.com: has some of the best instructional videos out there; there are even videos for really weird techniques. A must for visual learners!
